Back in April I posted about my love affair with the swaddling blankets from Swaddle Designs. I fell in love with them when my friend Amanda at Natural Mommie had an Ultimate Receiving Blanket for her son, and told her then that when I had another baby (or maybe it was if?!) I definitely wanted one of these blankets. She remembered that and gifted me with one when we had Everleigh. I also received one to review, and purchased one for myself so I am surrounded (or should I say Everleigh is literally surrounded) by swaddling blankets from Swaddle Designs!
Brand new from Swaddle Designs is the Swaddle Duo, and I was lucky enough to receive my own to review. Now that the weather is getting warmer, the Ultimate Receiving Blanket’s lightweight cotton flannel may not be the first choice to swaddle baby in (we use them now more so in the stroller though on cooler days they are still a favorite for snuggly warmth.) The Swaddle Duo includes the Ultimate Receiving Blanket and the Marquisette Swaddling Blanket which is a lightweight openweave cotton blanket perfect for warm weather. Both have the Swaddle Designs swaddling instructions right on the blankets and both are a generous size making swaddling easy (yes, really.) You can find more information on safe swaddling here.
The Marquisette Swaddling Blankets from Swaddle Designs come in some of the same designs that the Ultimate Receiving Blanket comes in, including the popular Mod Dots design. My duo is the one above, so my Marquisette Swaddling Blanket is the Peace, Love, Swaddle design.
The Swaddle Duo from Swaddle Designs would make an excellent baby shower gift – the new mom will be thankful to have 2 blankets for ease in swaddling and beyond (we use our blankets as regular blankets now that Everleigh isn’t swaddled anymore.
