(Source: GfK 2008) My hair doesn’t tangle too badly, but I’d love to have consistently shiny and smooth hair day to day. Unfortunately, we are our own worst enemies with the way we treat our hair and in my case the highlights and styling probably work against me more than I’d like to admit. Thankfully though, companies like Schwarzkopf Professional are always coming up with innovative products to combat the hair-fails that we hate the most.

I was sent BC Smooth Shine Shampoo, BC Smooth Shine Conditioner and BC Smooth Shine Smoothing Milk (say that one 3 times fast!) to try out and have been using it exclusively for the past 2 weeks. I’m big on yummy smelling products so that’s of course what I notice first. The BC Smooth Shine Shampoo has more of a salon-smell than a fruity smell but that’s ok because the BC Smooth Shine Conditioner smells delicious and that’s what is left in my hair for a few minutes to saturate while I dig into all the other yummy body washes and soaps in my shower. I can’t pinpoint exactly what the scent is – floral with a hint of berry (grape…no….I’m just not sure?!) but it’s wonderful. The shampoo/conditioner combo leaves my hair soft and tangle-free and very easy to comb through afterwards.

After towel-drying, I add in a small amount of BC Smooth Shine Smoothing Milk to help keep everything under control when blow-drying and using my flat iron. I’ve even used it when letting my hair air dry – we all know how frizzy hair can get when we do that! True, the result wasn’t the same as if I’d blow dried my hair but it helped tame the frizzies on the days I couldn’t be bothered (I think the BC Smooth Shine Smoothing Milk will be really useful in the summer months for that reason).
