When did you first discover babycenter.ca? It was during my first pregnancy that I ventured over to the pregnancy boards and I’ve referred back to the website many times over the past 6 years, especially when pregnant. Now, babycenter.ca has a new content section for moms, all about baby’s first foods. The Cheerios First Foods section features expert information on how and when to introduce first foods, tips and ideas for picky eaters, and so much more.
A friend of mine is just introducing solids to her baby now and it’s fun watching her experience this for the first time. She shared that her baby did not like broccoli and I just had to ask, “did you get the gags?” because I’m sure we all can remember feeding our baby a food they didn’t like, and watching the gag face afterwards (I dare any of you to tell me it wasn’t at least a little bit funny to you at the time!) Oddly enough, I remember that a broccoli/potato/cheese jarred baby food was one of Elijah’s favorites, so it just goes to show every baby is different. Elijah gagged on peas and my friend’s little girl loves them! I told her the golden rule I always heard – offer the food again in a week or two and see what happens then.
