Horray for a video game for Wii (also avaialable for Nintendo DS and PC) that the youngest member of our family can play too. Nevaeh, at 3, is always happy to watch her big brother and her dad play the Wii and we’ll sometimes give her a controller w/o batteries to make her feel like she’s a part of the action. Now, she has her own game to play that helps reinforce her ABCs and other early reading skills.
We love the fuzzy red Elmo Wii remote cover that comes with the game for Wii. It makes the controller easier for a 3 year old to hold onto and also covers up buttons that are not used in the game making it much easier to play. Nevaeh has a way to go with this game – there’s various levels of difficulty which is great, so once she masters one task we can move on to a harder one. She loves Elmo, as most preschoolers do, so having him along to help her learn her ABC’s, letter sounds and then later on word families is perfect.
Sesame Street: Elmo’s Ato Zoo Adventure for Wii is a great gift idea for families of gamers (like ours) with a younger member.
