If you have a little boy at least 1 year of age, chances are he’s interested in Thomas & Friends. I know of a few toddler boys who were obsessed with Thomas at a young age! Of course, Thomas isn’t just for little boys – my daughter likes him too – just not in the same “eyes glazed over dreamy stare way” that my son did.
We received the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set to review from Learning Curve, and although my kids have advanced beyond the basics of Thomas railways (you should see the structures they create with their Thomas & Friends tracks in our playroom!) I know the perfect little boy, turning 2, that this will be appropriate for!
Other sets in the collection include Early Engineers Busy Day on Sodor and Early Engineers Rock and Roll Quarry.
Made with bigger, chunky, pieces, this set is the perfect starter set for children ages 18 months and up. Little hands are able to easily move the trains on the tracks and it’s not overwhelming as a single set. Of course, all the Thomas & Friends Early Engineers Wooden Railway sets are compatible with the standard wooden Thomas & Friends tracks, so as your little conductor grows, you can add on.
