We’ve been home now for a week, but my 2 year old still talks about the dinosaurs at the zoo every day. Yes, you read that right. Recently, we headed to Alberta to check out two great attractions for families, with the help of Lay’s Chip Trips, and one of them involved dinosaurs!
Our first Lay’s Trip Chip was to the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark. Using 30 Lay’s Chip Trip points, you can print off a voucher for a Buy 1 Get 1 Free Pass for either the WEM World Waterpark or Galaxyland Amusement Park ($36.95 savings!) The WEM World Waterpark is huge and very VERY tiring because there are so many fun things to do. The children’s area, Caribbean Cove, is perfect for toddlers and children alike. Parents are of course welcome to escort their children through the playground-like structure which includes a giant tipping bucket that dumps 1200 liters of water at a time! I should know, the first time I walked my daughter through I got dumped on!
After our 2 days in Edmonton we headed to Calgary and visited the Calgary Zoo! Using 30 Lay’s Chip Trip Points, you can print a voucher for 50% off Regular Day Admission up to a group of 4 (that saved us $15 total). We of course had to check out Prehistoric Park which is a must-see every year that we’ve gone. This year was so much better though, with the addition of Dinosaurs Alive! at the park. New moving, growling, and even blinking dinosaurs add a ton of excitement and fun to this area. The kids loved it!
As many times as we’ve been to the Calgary Zoo, I don’t think we’ve seen everything there is to be seen yet! With 2 kids in tow, it’s best to go in the morning when the weather isn’t as warm and on a weekday if at all possible. It’s our summer destination, and next year I know the kids are going to be asking to go see the dinosaurs at the zoo again, as silly as it sounds!
I am participating in the Lay’s® Chip Trips program by Mom Central on behalf of Frito Lay Canada. I received Lay’s® Chip Trip points and a gift card to off-set my trip costs to facilitate this post. The opinions on this blog are my own.,
