1977 was a fabulous year – not only did it bring yours truly into this world, but it was also the birth year of Moving Comfort – a company created by women for women. In the 33 (ouch) years since it’s beginning when workout gear for women was unheard of, the company has been obsessed with thigh rubbing (gah), armpit chafing (ow), cinching and pinching. Working out. That’s a foreign phrase to me but I’ve resolved to take better care of my body. I’m attempting to run.
Notice that I haven’t said, “I’ve started running,” because that would suggest that this is something I’m actively doing and enjoying. I’m getting there but it’s taking baby steps (and a lot of convincing myself) to get out there and do it.
One essential item for working out in any capacity, especially for women like me who are…ur…chesty, is a good quality full support sports bra.

Sizing is accurate – I ordered the same bra size I wear in my regular bras and it was perfect. The Fiona Sports Bra is perfect for summer wear under tank tops! I loathe layering tanks in the summer . What is the point? Wearing two layers of fabric is not cool (literally) in the summer months and I can’t do it, yet exposing bra straps is a fashion faux pas in my book.
With fully adjustable straps without the use of those little plastic pieces regular bras have (the straps loop through the front of the bra with velcro so you can adjust), the Fiona Sports Bra looks like a tank underneath your shirt so it gives the appearance of layering when, in fact, you are wearing a bra. I took this bra with me to Cancun to wear under my dress on our first night, and have been wearing it often all summer. I truly love this bra!
