When Home Right offered to send me 4 of their painting products, I was so excited to tell my husband about them. You see, I have given up thinking I can paint more than the trim in each room (I’m a weakling) so I knew that any help he could get in painting, through a product in this case, would be beneficial. As I keep saying, I’m the foreman here people!
We are currently renovating our basement bathroom, which when we moved in looked like a seashell oasis (see photo, that’s a seashell wallpaper boarder, people). We (foreman, remember) pulled out all the fixtures and then discovered water damage so my husband then pulled off all the drywall and started from scratch!
So far, we have had the opportunity to check out the Quick Painter, which is perfect for edging, and the EZ Twist Paint Stick.
The Quick Painter makes my job, the trim, even easier. You simply draw up paint into the Quick Painter, directly from the can, and set out to work.
No back and forth to the paint can and in my case no little cup of paint to hold in my other hand while I paint (we were using this technique for awhile).
The EZ Twist Paint Stick got my husband’s approval, as this is what he used to paint a ceiling for the first time. I was terrified that using a product like this would result in dripping, slopping, paint everywhere but we were impressed with the ease and usefulness of this product.
We laid a drop cloth on the (new) floor just to be safe but it wasn’t needed.
Because he wasn’t constantly running the roller through the paint pan (the handle holds up to 18oz of paint) there was no back and forth. The EZ Twist dispenses just enough paint, doesn’t gush or ooze, and he was able to get our ceiling done in no time.
Like the color so far? I can’t show you the rest, I’ll save the before-after pictures for another day (uh…when he’s done….no shower in the corner yet as you can see!)
Other products that we were sent from Home Right Products include the Stain Stick which can be used to stain the deck outside that we hope to build during the sunny days of summer, and the Pro 5.5 Power Paint Sprayer to paint all our household doors (they have a design, squares, in every single one) outside in the yard this summer as well.
