Get your Ogre on! In Shrek Forever After The Game, players can switch between the characters of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey or Puss in Boots to out-smart, out-wit, and out-play Rumpelstiltskin (I had to check 4 times to make sure that name was spelled right
Just days after seeing Shrek Forever After in the theater with my son, we were sent the game for our Wii, a Shrek Forever After hard cover book (great bright illustrations inside) and a Mad Libs book as well, all from Mom Central on behalf of Activision, the makers of the game.
At (almost) six, my son Elijah quickly caught on to the game. The instructions to help you along are written on the screen but also read out loud by one of the three little pigs from the movie. While this game was intended for my son, I have to share that my husband (33 years old) played this game, no lie, for over 4 hours after the kids were in bed, the first night we got it! So…apparently, it’s not just for kids. 😉
The graphics are great, and reflected many scenes from the movie (I’d suggest waiting to play the game until after you’ve seen the movie as it can be a spoiler). My husband says he’s finished the game now (I would expect so after the hours he’s put in!) but my son is happily still playing it every few days and is learning as he goes. He took the book to school for “show and share” too, so it’s safe to say anything Shrek is a hit in this household!
