Bugalug

Bugalug was one of the very first companies I worked with when I started doing product reviews on my site. Based in Calgary, I have a special affinity for this rockin’ Canadian company (rockin’ because they are so well known across Canada and the US now, yay Canadian marketing!)

I knew Bugalug makes products for hair but had no idea they also make cute Cinch Belts for kids too. I was sent 1 boy’s belt and 1 girl’s belt to review.

I have skinny minny kids, as I call them. My husband and I both have a slender frame (no worries, it’s become less slender as the years go by!) so it’s no surprise that our kids have trouble with their pants fitting properly. I remember hating, loathing, belts as a skinny child because they were so stiff and awkward feeling.

These cinch belts are made with stretchy, comfortable fabric so they don’t feel weird at all, and the kids don’t even notice they’re on. Sized in small, medium, or large, these belts fit kids from infancy up to 6 years of age (my son is turning 6 in June and it’s no surprise that the belt fits him just fine).

No silly buckles to mess with, these hook and snap belts are easy for young children to use and best of all, they make moms like me happy because bottoms without adjustable waists are now not a waste (I’m so clever, ha!) The only suggestion I’d have for Bugalug would be to find a non-satin fabric for the boy’s belt (a 2 year old may not notice but my 5 year old did!)
