When I learned about Milan Maternity, I was happy but also annoyed! Why annoyed? Because I would have loved to have known about this company when I was pregnant and am disappointed I’m only just hearing about it now. My loss is your gain, readers!
Shopping for maternity clothes was always fun for me. Getting pregnant was the hard part, and once I was nice and round I wanted to show it off and loved buying new items to help do that. The problem, of course, is that most maternity clothing goes against my frugal ways.
I was frustrated that the (only) maternity clothing store in my city at the time was charging $45 for a t-shirt that I’d be wearing for 6 months max! I turned to eBay and found a few nicer shirts second-hand, a bit worn, for a better price.
Milan Maternity’s mission is to provide you with flattering styles at a price you can afford – it sounds like the people behind this brand really understand that scenario I dealt with. Tops on this site can be found for on average $25 (and no that’s not a tank top price!)
I was so tempted to keep the Bella top that Milan Maternity sent me to check out, for a future maybe baby. The material was soft and a nice weight (this is not a cheaply made shirt despite the fabulous price) and I loved the Mediterranean blue color! What I liked about this shirt is that it’s not a 6 month shirt – a woman could easily wear this early on in pregnancy and after while she adjusts to getting her pre-baby body back (I hate that period, you definitely don’t want to be spending money on new clothes as your body changes after baby).
I passed this shirt on to a good friend of mine who is 13 weeks pregnant with her first. I remember that time well – you’re amazed at your body changing, yet to most of the world you still look the same. I was eager to wear maternity clothes so I would have definitely worn a shirt like this one early on. Doesn’t she look awesome? This shirt will grow with her (order it in the same size you were pre-pregnancy) and because of the great length, there will be no worries of a belly poking out (another pet peeve, too-short maternity tops!)
Did I mention the best part? The Bella Mediterranean Blue top is on sale right now for $22! I could buy 3 tops at Milan Maternity for the price of one top that I bought from a maternity-chain store here in Canada.
1 reader is going to win a $50 gift card from Milan Maternity! You can easily get 2 shirts for $50 from this company (yay!) To enter for yourself or as a gift for a friend (how great would that be?) simply check out Milan Maternity and tell me one item you would definitely pick if you won.
