I like a site that gets right to the point with their name! Affordable Scarves is a pretty good way to describe what this company has to offer. Of course, as a consumer, we’d probably stay away from companies that proclaim the opposite in their title, “Really Really Overpriced Stuff!” Affordable Scarves is what the company is all about, and if you don’t stumble upon it in a google search (which is another great reason for a name like this) you may have heard buzz about it online already.
I have only started wearing scarves for fashion (and not simply warmth!) this past summer. As with anything fashion related that my 33 year old mommy-butt has no idea how to do, I turned to You Tube. There, you can find tons of videos on how to achieve the different scarf tying styles with ease. Affordable Scarves has their own videos right on their site to help as well!
I was able to choose a scarf to review and picked the Hartford Pashmina Wrap, shown above, in purple and gold. Pashminas are wider than regular scarves (this one measures 72″L x 27″W) so I typically wear mine as a wrap with a sleeveless dress, for example, than an actual scarf. Still, you can achieve a great look with the pashmina tied as a scarf if you do it the right way, and that’s where the videos come in handy.
The colors in the Hartford Pashmina Wrap are so pretty, and since I wear a lot of the same tones, it matches my clothing well. The pashmina looks luxurious and feels great against my skin. My daughter, who loves to play with my hair, loves the fringes on the bottom of the pashmina.
Maybe you’re like a few of my friends, and are an expert at tying scarves. If so, you may be interested in checking out the How to Tie a Scarf Video Contest at Affordable Scarves. You could win a scarf and then have your video as part of the series on the Affordable Scarves site.2 of my readers are each going to win their choice of any scarf from Affordable Scarves. To enter, simply tell me which one (note that some of the scarves have other color choices) you would choose if you are picked as a winner.
