Leap, Lily and Tad (cute froggy names right?) take toddlers and preschoolers on fun filled adventures while teaching them basic learning skills along the way. That’s the premise of the LeapFrog Learning DVDs. Many DVDs try and sell the claim that they can teach your young children their basic ABC’s and most probably could. However, the challenge is to create something that entices young children and makes them follow along with interest, enough so to keep them coming back to watch again and again.
My 5 year old ate up anything to do with the alphabet since before he was 2 and one of the DVDs in this set was his favorite: LeapFrog Letter Factory was viewed daily in our house, and our husband and I had the songs from it memorized in no time because of this. Repetition, fun story lines, and piecing everything together at the end is the formula that works for these DVDs.
The other 2 titles included in this (perfect-gift) set are LeapFrog Let’s Go To School and LeapFrog Talking Words Factory (another one of my son’s favorites). Also included are 26 Flash Cards.
LeapFrog: Learning DVD Set is appropriate for children ages 2-6 who are just starting to learn to even say the letters of the alphabet and later on reading basic words and sentences. My 2 year old and 5 year old can watch these DVDs together and each learn something which is super!
