Released Tuesday, December 15th on DVD and Blu-Ray, G-Force is just in time for Christmas gift giving! My 5 year old was eager to see this movie as soon as the promos started running on tv before the theater release, and it actually looked pretty cute to me too. How can you resist guinea pigs armed with the latest high-tech spy gear?
My husband and son saw this movie in the theater, so I had to wait until we received our DVD copy to get my turn. It didn’t disappoint! The special forces guinea pig unit consists of characters voiced by Sam Rockwell, Penelope Cruz and the always hilarious Tracy Morgan. Nicholas Cage rounds out the elite star cast, as Speckles the mole (which makes me smirk…the cool and collected Nicholas Cage as….Speckles.) Produced by the creative super-mind that is Jerry Bruckheimer, it’s no surprise that you’ll see slow-motion-stunt-moves typical of his other films in this family friendly movie.
Bonus features include Bloopers, Deleted Scenes, 3 Music Videos and more. I liked Blaster’s Boot Camp where Tracy Morgan gives viewers a glimpse into the elite world of G-Force.
If your children saw G-Force in the theater and have been coyly asking for a guinea pig ever since, meet them in the middle by putting the 3 Disc DVD + Bly-Ray + Digital Copy of G-Force under the tree instead.
