Automoblox believes that instead of children having 10 toys that are poorly made and disposable, they should have 1 durable and great toy instead. That we should give our children the message that toys are meant to last and are not something to be discarded because they stop working due to poor craftsmanship. Automoblox hopes their toys would be so loved that children pass them on to their own children some day – yeah, remember toys like that?
We were sent the Mini T9/S9/C9 3-Pack to review. The Minis are a scaled down version of the original Automoblox cars and I thought they might appeal to my 5 year old based on their small size. When I first looked at them, I didn’t think they were exciting but then again playing cars on the floor for an hour is torture for me some days so I’m not the best judge. Leave that up to the 5 year old who exclaimed, “Oh cool!” when he first saw them.
The sleek design of the cars make them easy for small hands to manipulate (including that of my 2 year old when allowed to touch them) and the fact that you can take each car apart and mix and match the components is a big deal for my son. I hope we do have these cars for a long time – seeing them firsthand I can’t see why they wouldn’t last through the challenges a 5 year old will put them through.
