I find the name of this company ironic – you’d think the company would be about solving messy problems or perhaps safety products for children. Instead, the company focuses on products to help parents (both mom AND dad are represented by the colors/designs here, yay!) stay organized on the go. I realized, then, that O Yikes might be suitable as a name for the company because the bags they feature help calm the disarray in our lives. O Yikes leads to calm, cool, and collected on the go.
We were sent this vibrant colored Messenger Bag from O Yikes! to check out (in tangerine/raspberry). Of course I picked this awesome color combination because I have a serious addiction to pink/brown (my daughter will notice this when she’s older and all her photos have something of that color combo in them, ack!)
What appeals to me most about this bag is that it’s not an obvious diaper bag and that’s because it isn’t! It could be, but it can also moonlight as a regular messenger bag for students, a travel bag for active adults or a laptop bag for work on the go.
The two larger compartments work great (for either wipes and diapers in the outside compartment or perhaps your blackberry and camera), and there’s tons of space inside, with pockets for everything, including a key ring (really, use this – keys at the bottom of a bag is one of daily life’s most easily solved frustrations!) The exterior bottle holder is great – the drawstring closure at the top helps keep different sized cups steady which is really helpful when on the go.
