The Hugg-A-Planet Earth Moon Mars set could not have come at a better time to our household! This summer, my 5 year old received what is now a favorite and tattered book that is a children’s atlas of sorts. He’s become very interested in other countries and I wanted to get him a globe. I knew, however, that it would probably end up sitting on his bookshelf, spun around from time to time, but kind of awkward to use.
Enter in Hugg-A-Planet! This company makes soft, huggable planets for both children and adults to enjoy. This is a product you’d find in a child’s bedroom or in a nursery school or elementary school classroom and either place it would look perfectly suitable.
My 5 year old carries his Hugg-A-Planet from the rec-room to his bedroom, and it’s already made one trip to school as a show-and-tell item for his Kindergarten class! I think it’s genius, and have sat down with it myself and scanned the planet, reading the names of tiny countries I honestly did not know existed. The Hugg-A-Planet has it’s moon tucked right inside it, which is a nice way to keep it together since it’s so much smaller. The Hugg-A-Planet Mars is intriguing, with information about the various Mars landings and over 400 places labelled.
The Hugg-A-Planet line would be perfect for two groups of people in particular – inquisitive young minds and teachers (fabulous gift idea for the classroom that can be used for years!) Really, this is something the whole family can enjoy.
