Introducing the Hoover® WindTunnel T-Series™ family of upright vacuums, combining sleek, lightweight design with superior cleaning power. Available in new, fresh colors to compliment the home, these hi-tech vacuums have ingenious features, like a collapsible handle for small spaces and an automatic rewind cord.
The WindTunnel T-Series™ vacuums feature Hoover® patented WindTunnel Technology™ with air passages that trap dirt and channel it into the dirt cup, significantly minimizing blowback or scattering back onto the floor. While each model is lightweight, each offers full Hoover® power for a deep-down clean and no loss of suction
Sounds great, doesn’t it? I was so excited to be able to review the new Hoover WindTunnel Rewind – perfect timing with fall upon us and the furnace on. Most of our house is carpet, so when you combine 4 people (2 of them messy kids), wall to wall carpet, and a furnace – dirt is brought into the house daily and dust is tossed up from the carpet and furnace ducts too. I know it would be so much healthier for all of us to have wood flooring but since we don’t, keeping my carpet as clean as I can is important.
Aside from the sleek look and design of the WindTunnel Rewind (I received the green one!), there’s tons of great features that I love about this vaccum.
First, of course, the cyclonic filtration system in the canister is awesome, ensuring no gross dust and dirt is going to come back OUT of your vacuum (have you ever had that happen, you vaccum and wonder what you’ve just accomplished?) The kids thought the ‘tornado’ was pretty cool (actually I did too).
Second, vacuuming was made even easier for me with this product because it’s lighter than the one I was previously using. I live in a split level house with two flights of stairs to vacuum and I admit, I don’t vaccum my stairs every time I vacuum because it’s such a pain. The accessories on the Hoover WindTunnel are easy to reach and use, making my task so much easier. Plus, it’s not a big effort to hall this vacuum up and down my stairs like my old one (the Hoover WindTunnel is 16.5 lbs).
Another bonus in a house with stairs is the super long 27 ft power cord. I can plug in at the kitchen and vacuum the bedrooms upstairs! Oh, and the power cord retracts (hence the Rewind in the name) which helps this busy mom (and keeps the kids from tripping over the cord too).
There’s no need to replace the HEPA filter, just a simple rinse under the tap is all that is necessary to keep your vacuum running effieciently. If you’re like me and tend to forget it’s time to replace/rinse the filter, you’ll appreciate the System Check Indicator which indicates when it’s time to do so.
One last feature about the Hoover WindTunnel Rewind – it’s not as loud as my old vacuum. Some may see this as a good thing, though I kind of liked the ability to drown out the whining and yelling from the kids while indulging in my cleaning routine. To each their own! 😉The Hoover WindTunnel Series vacuums are a great gift for yourself! I love when I can say, “You know what, I’m buying this as as gift to me,” even if it happens to be a household product. Husbands, tread lightly here if buying one for your wife – perhaps attach a note saying that you are also going to test out the vacuum by using it exclusively for the first month or two!1 reader is going to win their own Hoover WindTunnel Rewind Bagless Upright Vacuum from the Hoover WindTunnel T Series line!
