Hazelaid

Long known for its healing properties and practiced by Aborginal cultures for decades, hazelwood is a natural alkaline source that, when applied to the skin, can help absorb and neutralize acidity in the body. Chips of hazelwood were placed on aboriginal babies necks to aid in teething relief and now others have realized the benefits and advanced this practice through the creation of necklaces and bracelets for all ages.
You see, the benefits of hazelwood don’t end with teething relief – other common ailments like digestion, constipation, eczema, arthritis, acid reflux, and more. Of interest to parents of an allergic child like myself, there are no known allergies to hazelwood because it is made with the hazelwood branch, not the nut. The Hazelaid site explains the issue of Acid/Alkaline Imbalance and the benefits of hazelwood.
Other products available at Hazelaid include Amber necklaces and bracelets. Amber isn’t a stone but a natural resin which warms with the body’s temperature and releases oils, which contain succinic acid, into the skin. Baltic amber is a natural analgesic that will help relieve headaches, reduce inflammation of the throat, ear and stomach and fight irritations, infections and respiratory diseases as it dramatically improves the body’s immunity. Many adults report improvement of arthritis discomfort and carpal tunnel pain in their hands when wearing amber on the wrists.

Hazelaid was kind enough to not only send me an Amber necklace to review (headaches is my main concern) but they also sent my mom an Amber bracelet to review as well (she has arthritis and of course headaches…thanks mom!) I have been wearing my Amber necklace (almost) daily now and can’t say for sure there has been a dramatic decrease in my headaches but I would say yes, I haven’t had a bad one in ages and they’re not a regular occurrence. My mom reports more overall comfort in her wrists but not a complete absence of arthritis. I think, with anything, you must give a product due time to work and of course use something like Hazelaid to complement a healthy lifestyle (no sense in wearing Hazelwood to reduce inflammation and tension and then drink 6 cups of coffee a day). I have mommy friends who swear by Hazelwood as a teething necklace for their infants. With Hazelwood and Amber’s popularity among parents of teething babies, Hazelaid products would make an excellent gift to a friend or family member with a toothless child (because we know what they’re in for!) Of course, with it’s many healing benefits, Hazelaid hazelwood and amber jewelry is a great gift choice for friends and family members who could benefit from this natural product.
