William Shatner as Santa Claus! Of course! That’s what truly makes this new DVD release a winner. At 66 minutes long, the kids watch a great holiday story and parents are entertained by a familiar voice in very unfamiliar role (what is it with Santa’s this season? George Wendt voiced Santa in another holiday movie and threw me off for a bit.)
In this CGI animated holiday tale, Trevor rises to the challenge to show his skeptical friend Veronica that Santa Claus truly exists. Trevor and his friends embark on a journey to find the jolly man in red, but they must get to him before Santa’s enemy (who knew?) LeFreeze finds him first!
The kids enjoyed the storyline and fun music (a more modern musical tale) and it was the perfect length to keep their attention.
If you’re looking for a new holiday movie to add to your collection that can grow with your kids long after their current character favorite has changed, Gotta Catch Santa Claus is perfect.
