I’ve found a great site online and wanted to post a quick note to share it! It’s no secret we are movie-fans in this house and we’ve reviewed some great new titles on the site this year. There are hundreds of mom bloggers out there who do the same (and we all rock, heh.) Have you wondered what a dad’s point of view on movies might be? Disney Dads is made up of a group of Disney employees, all dads of course, who give readers of their site their own opinion on Disney movies for the whole family. How great is that? I am really impressed with this site, and think it’s fantastic to see this group of dads committed to what children are viewing.
Each review has a box to the left with information about the Disney Dad doing the review, which is great because it’s always nice to put a face to a name and learn a little more about the people behind a site. Mike Ridgewell, Director of Worldwide Marketing for Disney (wow!), wrote a review of The Emperor’s New Groove in which he shares his own personal experience with the Art Director from the movie, and how he would draw characters from the movie for Mike’s children at home on weekends. Disney Dads reviews are definitely more personal than a standard review. John Flynn, Senior VP for Business Development and New Technology shares his thoughts on Little House on the Prairie and Iron Will (a movie which he first saw at the theater because the one he really wanted to see was sold out!)
The Tips By Dads section of the Disney Dads site is great too – full of tips on making dinners, movie nights and the always important making s’mores tips. Single dads and married dads alike can benefit from the information provided on the site. Great idea Disney Dads, I happen to think you’re pretty fabulous.
