Have you heard the buzz about BEARPAW this season? My friends and I have been having the ‘boot’ chat a lot lately – what brand to buy, what to spend, and of course where to get them! I was fortunate enough to be sent 2 pairs of BEARPAW boots to check out and they have made me a fan. I have recommended BEARPAW boots to a few friends in the past few weeks.
Why? Of course for the design and look of the boots for starters. The BEARPAW Eva 8″ Boot, for example, is perfect for casual wear in the fall and winter (I’m not a year-round boot girl, I think it’s because of our climate – I relish the hot weather and want my feet free in the summer!) The shorter 8″ style is easy to slip on and off, and the suade uppers and sheepskin lining make these boots feel like a luxurious bed with 1000 count sheets for your feet!
Living on the Canadian prairies, it’s difficult to be fashionable when function has to come first. At -40 below, the priority is keeping warm (and safe) so I was really eager to check out the BEARPAW Dream 12″ Boots.
I heart these boots the most between my two new BEARPAW boots I received because now I can be fashionable while also keeping my feet (and legs!) nice and warm.
Soft suade uppers of course make the boot gorgeous, but they’d be just that without the sheepskin lining inside which takes them from gorgeous to completey functional and well…fabulous.
The sheepskin lining actually regulates your body temperature (sweaty feet in boots, yuck!) keeping you warm and dry. When it’s -40 below, having sweaty feet inside your boost is not a good thing, especially if the boot is going to get wet because of poor construction or fabric. BEARPAW considers this when creating their boots.
Browsing the BEARPAW site, it was fun to see the celebrity sightings (Shenae Grimes from 90210 is a fan of the Eva 10″ and Karina Smirnoff from Dancing With The Stars wears the Dream 10″) but I don’t need a celebrity to convince me that wearing these boots is a wise investment.
That’s the bottom line here – the price of BEARPAW boots is sometime’s hundreds less than other brands out there which, to this frugal mommy, is fantastic. I was actually quite surprised at the prices on the site, I really did expect BEARPAW boots to be more expensive.
