We just saw our first Elmo toy commercial of the 2009 Holiday Season. It’s for the new Elmo Live (Encore). My daughter stopped short, watched the commercial in silence, and then promptly went to go find her own Elmo Live that we got her for Christmas last year. The batteries had died and I kind of enjoyed the silence for awhile – so much for that! With a new set of batteries in (daddy is a sucker) Elmo is once again singing away and telling jokes.
Another Elmo item my kids have been talking about is Elmo Tickle Hands – a set of red furry gloves (one with tickle power) that allow your kids to tickle and dance just like Elmo does! I’m not sure if these are going to be under our tree this year – mommy can only take so much Elmo at once but I know my daughter would freak if they were. Good thing there’s batteries with these too – maybe it can be a win/win situation. 😉
