Jane Doiron is a busy working mom for two boys – she’s an elementary school teacher with a passion for cooking. Taking her own life as an example, Jane knew that many moms are short on time whether they are working moms or stay at home moms (believe me, as sahm there is not a gourmet meal on the table every night simply because I’m home all day to create it!)
Jane’s first (hopefully there’s more to come) book, Make Ahead Meals for Busy Moms is a cookbook full of over 140 tested (and retested) recipes for meals that can be either made ahead and frozen, or prepared a day in advance so they can be popped in the oven when time is short.
Jane takes the time to make note of which recipes do not freeze well and which ones are awesome coming out of the freezer for tonight’s dinner. I asked Jane (who is so personable and approachable) what her favorite recipes are. “My favorite dinner is the one on the cover Italian Restaurant Chicken. I love the Tiramisu dessert. I’m not Italian but I LOVE Italian food. 🙂 For a side dish, I love the Layered Cheesy Zucchini! I love the Pumpkin Bread and Pear Bread (moist and delicious)!”
As you can see from just those few recipes mentioned, the book covers everything from breakfast to dinner with appetizers and desserts too of course. The recipes are easy to follow – no out of the norm ingredients or complicated procedures for us busy moms.
