Season 3 of Private Practice debuts on ABC Thursday October 1st! I know fans are eagerly awaiting the new season. In the meantime, fans can watch Season 2 from beginning to end on DVD, because Private Practice: The Complete Second Season was released September 15th.
From Shonda Rhimes, the amazing genius behind Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice isn’t a show about the doctors we all have – it’s a show about the doctors we all want. It takes place inside Oceanside Wellness Center – a beautiful “private practice” located in sunny Santa Monica, California.
The Wellness Center boasts doctors specializing in psychiatry, acupuncture, cardiology, pediatrics and obstetrics. Each doctor, though embroiled in his or her own issues, still goes out of their way to help their patients. Kate Walsh (who crossed over from Grey’s Anatomy in this role of Addison Montgomery) heads the all-star (and easy on the eyes) cast which includes Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Tim Daly and Paul Adelstein. The highlight of the season: pregnant psychiatrist Violet is kidnapped by her delusional psych patient whose sole intention is to cut her baby out of her and steal it for herself, thus leaving Violet to bleed to death on her own living room floor.
