On Tuesday, September 1st Walt Disney Home Studios released Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie on DVD! I know Halloween is already on my radar, I’ve got the kid’s costumes already! This movie is a cute way to build excitement with the kids about the upcoming spooky day.
As a bonus treat, the DVD also comes with a limited edition Pooh plush in a Tigger Halloween costume. The plush is super soft and the top of the hood on the costume can be flipped back and forward, exposing Pooh’s ears underneath. My toddler thinks this is hilarious and now the kids have decided that they need to alternate nights on who gets to sleep with this little guy (I have no idea why he is so popular but the costume is what makes him so special to them apparently?!)
I am a little cautious about Halloween themed movies because I don’t want my good intentions to go awry and have my kids left scared but Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it helps teach kids that while we’re all scared of something, if we work together as friends we can overcome these fears and have some fun along the way (Piglet stole my heart in this regard, he’s just so adorable).
