I love my coffee. I love my coffee to the point where I need my coffee in the morning to kickstart my brain and yes, even to avoid a caffeine withdrawl headache. Since moving to a small town, I’ve been quite limited in my choice of coffee – here in Canada I usually stock up on grinds from my favorite coffee and donut shop but I miss gourmet flavored coffee. In the city, I could swing by the mall and pick it up from my favorite gourmet coffee store. In my small town? Not so much. I received a bag each of ground beans in Caramel Royale and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. This past week I was a very happy mama in the mornings, trying out both of these flavors. What I noticed about these beans compared to other companies I’ve purchased from is how fragrant the coffee was in the pot and in my cup – the first morning my whole kitchen smelled like yummy Caramel Royale! This tells me that the beans are definitely fresh. The flavor of both is rich and smooth.
