Kokopax was founded in 2007 by mom of four Sarah Spoor (this mama already has my admiration for being a mom of four!) Looking back at photos of the carriers her parents used in the 70’s to carry her, Sarah wanted to create a modern version for busy parents.
Together with her husband, Sarah has merged modern fabrics and design with the basic functionality of the style of carriers used back then to create kokopax. They’ve come a long way baby! In March 2009, kokopax was voted Best All Around Carrier by Pregnancy Magazine.
Kokopax has now expanded to make sun hats, totes, and organic accessories. I had the opportunity to try out the blakely ring tote™ from kokopax. The totes are made in coordinating fabrics to match the carriers (I’d totally get a carrier to match, I like matching like that!)
I would describe the kokopax tote as a diaper bag/tote for moms who don’t want to look like they’re carrying a cutesy diaper bag.
