Have a Hannah Montana fan in the house? If you do, I’m sure you’re probably already aware that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is releasing Hannah Montana: The Movie on DVD and Blu-ray on August 18th. If you were not already aware of the release date, here’s your heads up mama!
Miley Cyrus has impressed me with her comedic ability – I love her laugh because it’s not a delicate girly girl laugh but a loud joyous laugh. She strikes me as a girl full of life and happiness and I can understand why she’s adored by millions of girls.
In Hannah Montana: The Movie, Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) goes back to her roots (literally!) to try and reconcile her dual worlds. Life as a teen sensation is taking it’s toll and Miley’s dad thinks a visit back to the family farm in Tennessee for Grandma’s birthday might be a nice retreat for Miley. A new romance develops and just when Miley is able to truly relax and enjoy her time away, her pushy publicist (Vanessa Williams at her best) comes calling, along with a papprazzi-wannabe reporter. Now Miley is forced to make the toughest decision of her life. Cyrus is joined by fellow cast mates from her Disney Channel series including Emily Osment, Moises Arias, Mitchel Musso, Billy Ray Cyrus and Jason Earles.
The DVD is full of bonus features including a great Behind The Scenes: Bloopers feature – this clip is directly from the DVD!
I think it’s awesome that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is releasing more Blu-ray Combo Packs like this one – a Blu-ray disc and DVD. We don’t have a Blu-ray player yet but will be purchasing one within the next month or two, so having the DVD copy right now is perfect, and the Blu-ray disc for later is even better.
