Looking for a website where you can discuss deals with other frugal shopping gurus like yourself? Take a moment and check out Buxr.com – especially the Discussion Boards. I’ve been poking around this site for the past few days and have discovered some great deals (psst: check out this post about a one-day sale at Old Navy this Saturday!)

Visitors can find deals like coupon codes, sales, or even links to sign up for free products. Users submit deals and then they are voted on by the members. So, if a deal/post has several votes this tells you that it’s something worth checking out. I really like that this site gives it’s members a say – instead of other sites where you have to weed through tons of posts that are really just advertisements – Buxr actually lets members determine what’s worthwhile.

So why do members on the site turn to Buxr to post the deals they find? Well, partly of course because they are pretty cool people who like to share but also because there’s a great incentive in the form of daily contests! The best online deal of the day submitted wins $10 and the best in-store deal of the day wins $5. Deals, of course, are voted on by members. The winner who receives the most votes overall wins an additional $5. So, you have the chance to win money each day just by submitting an awesome deal.
