Misikko

Oh what a gem I have come across online! Misikko is a one stop shop online for styling tools and beauty products. They’re all attractively displayed so that customers can compare products and make the best decision with all the information presented.

I was searching for flat irons when I came across the Misikko site, and specifically looking for CHI flat iron. Why that brand in particular? It’s the brand that two of the salons I go to use and my 16 year old niece (who is so much cooler than I am) uses it as well. I went in search of a pink flat iron and found a CHI one!

CHI flat irons use Far Infra Red, which heats the hair from the inside out and penetrates deeper for better results. CHI has a wide variety of flat irons to choose from. They have ceramic irons to provide the most consistent heat, ionic irons to seal in moisture, and far infrared irons to reduce static and frizz. These are all offered in a variety of sizes as well.

Back to the pretty pink CHI flat iron. I know that when my stylist does my hair using a flat iron, it looks fantastic. Yet, for some silly reason, I kept thinking that if I used a flat iron every day, I’d be damaging my hair (yet I still blow dry every day). Professional flat irons, that have thick ceramic plates are the healthiest choice for your hair. So, if you’re going to use a flat iron, it makes sense to do your home work and purchase a quality product.

I found some great video tutorials on You Tube from Misikko! A great one to watch is Flat Iron Do’s and Don’ts which explains some of the common mistakes people make when using a flat iron (did you know that you’re not supposed to clap the ceramic plates together, whoops).

You don’t have to spend a ton of money either to have salon quality styling products. Misikko has categorized their products so well, making website navigation and shopping easy. There’s even a section on the site listing styling products under $100.

I actually found the prices at Misikko to be less than what the salons I go to charge. Shipping is great too – for US residents Misikko offers free same day shipping on items over $50.
