I have many friends (and blog followers who certainly can’t be called strangers, so “bloggy friends”) who have signed up to collect Swagbucks after hearing how successful I have been at collecting since I signed up last year.
Since I signed up with Swagbucks I have collected over 2000 Swagbucks from the company. Of course, I redeem them often for great prizes like Starbucks gift cards or Amazon gift cards so I don’t have that total sitting in my account right now (but it’s nice to see that Swagbucks keeps track, and tortures me with what I could have had if I saved up my points!!)
Many friends have signed up and collected tons of points, yet many others sign up and quickly forget about the site (I can see my referral’s points collected so far, and there’s many who have less than 10 points and are not gaining more). How can you collect more points and cash out for Swagbucks prizes?
1) Use Swagbucks as your homepage and/or download the Swagbucks toolbar to use. This reminds you to use Swagbucks to search often. If you don’t see the logo/site, it’s easy to forget about it.
2) Use Swagbucks daily to go to sites you already have bookmarked. Instead of going to Facebook or even Feisty Frugal and Fabulous by using your Favorites, open up Swagbucks and search for your sites that way. I collect many Swagbucks by doing this.
3) Sign into Swagbucks and then check out the stores affiliated with them to shop online. You can earn 1 Swagbuck for every $5 you spend. If you’re going to shop online anyway, you may as well get a little bonus for doing so.
4) Check out Swagbucks and find bonus Swag Codes throughout the site that you can redeem for Swagbucks. One day, there was a code right on the home page that I probably saw 10 times that day and it didn’t register that duh…that was a Swag Code sitting right there.
5) Have an old cell phone, game console, or games that (gasp!) no one wanted at your garage sale? Send them in and trade them for Swagbucks.
6) Refer your friends!!! This is the fastest, best, and most efficient way to earn Swagbucks. Get your family, friends and coworkers to sign up by sending them a referral. If you blog, grab a button and post it. If you use Facebook, post the referral button link on your Wall. When your referral wins a Swagbuck, so do you. It’s so cool to go to your Swagbucks account and see more added since your last visit. You can earn up to 100 Swagbucks per friend you refer.
Of course, the whole point of referring friends is to make sure they are using Swagbucks regularly so that they can redeem them for prizes, and you too of course. Remind them by posting on your Facebook wall when you win a Swagbuck (links are provided right on the screen when you win) or post on your blog, etc.
