Dear Lil Devas (closed)

Dear Lil’ Devas is a Canadian (yeah!!) company specializing in fabulous and functional clothes for yoga, that also happen to be pretty awesome for those of us who haven’t tried downward dog since becoming mommies (that would be me.)

It is kind of ironic, isn’t it? There are countless moms pushing strollers wearing the latest and greatest styles of yoga pants, who don’t actively participate. I can’t help it, who wants to wear boring sweats when they can look great in yoga pants. Maybe eventually I’ll decide to put them to use doing actual yoga, but for the time being I’m still searching out great pants (and if they make my legs or butt look great, that’s a bonus).

Dear Lil’ Devas signature line of pants, what makes the company loved by many, are the 100% Dream Pants. Made with Indian Cotton, wearing these pants feels like you’re wearing nothing at all – and the more you wash them, the softer they get. When I received these pants I didn’t think it was possible for them to get any softer but it’s true.

Now, these are not your typical tight fitting yoga pants. The pant was actually a collaborative effort by friends Rosie and Paula (Paula’s idea for a yoga pant that was not constricting, lightweight and having an adjustable waist was explained to Rosie, who created the 100% Dream Pant with these ideas in mind). The pants are one size fits all because of the loose fit of the pant and the drawstring waist; they also can be purchased cuffed or uncuffed as capris or pants, giving them so much versatility! Available in over a dozen colors, say goodbye to basic black yoga pants. Oh, and if you don’t mind feeling absolutely free and light in a pair of pants while practicing yoga (great for the mindset I bet), 100% Dream Pants are worth looking into.

Rosie from Dear Lil Devas also sent me an outfit that is now my summer go-to outfit. You know how you have one comfy basic outfit that you end up wearing so often that all your pictures from one season feature you in it at one point or another? Yeah, it’s that kind of outfit.

The first component is the “snugs” Yoga Capris, a more traditional yoga pant from Dear Lil’ Devas that fits great but true to Dear Lil’ Devas mission, feel unbelievably soft. This is due to the 70% bamboo, 30% organic cotton blend in the pant (with no lycra!) The 100% Bamboo Tank Top is made in a longer length (think about doing a tree pose and having your shirt ride up, no thanks!) and has a lined bust. Pairing the two pieces together literally feels like wearing the lightest outfit ever. I can see why customers love any of Dear Lil’ Devas clothing for practicing yoga, but FYI I happen to love it for wearing anytime on mommy duty!
