Squeals of delight have echoed from our house in the past few weeks, and this mama is happy to report that it came from a children’s toy that…get this….does not require one single battery. That is just one feature about the PlasmaCar that makes it a favorite of ours but there’s so much more!
The PlasmaCar is deceivingly basic. No loud sounds, no flashing lights, and no motor. The PlasmaCar works on propulsion – that is, by rotating the steering wheel left to right continuously, the rider propels the car to move forward, and faster! The Plasma Car can reach speeds of 2.8 meters per second (that’s over 10km/h)!
Adults can use the PlasmaCar too – on a smooth flat surface an adult up to 220lbs can ride, and on an uneven surface, up to 120lbs can ride. The first time I tried out the Plasma Car, I was a little disappointed in myself because I didn’t go as fast as I wanted to. It takes some getting used to and you have to kind of figure out your flow, so to speak, but once you “get it” you’re on your way. My son is a master now!
They even double-up when riding, though I’m not sure that’s recommended but it’s one way to keep the peace in our household!
