Piggy Paint is a product I wish I had known about when I was pregnant with both my kids. Although it’s marketed to little girls, I would have purchased several bottles myself! I was a chemical-fanatic when I was pregnant and for good reason. There are a lot of dangerous products out there that pregnant women have no business being near, but they are a part of our everyday lives.
During both my pregnancies, I didn’t paint my fingernails or my toenails. I was scared of the strong fumes and also of having something so “chemical-ly” as I called it, on my body for long periods of time. And so, I spent my summers with naked toes. If I had known about Piggy Paint I could have had pretty toes all the time, just like the pretty Girls Rule! color I have on my toes right now.
Piggy Paint is a water-based formula (in nail polish, yes really!) that is hypoallergenic, and non-toxic. The site also states it is odorless, and when painting your nails you will not smell any odor. If you smell the polish directly there is a slight odor to the polish so I wouldn’t call it completely odorless but it’s not a strong overpowering smell and does not permeate the area (it’s barely noticeable).
