Kiss My Face, located in New York’s Hudson River Valley, is becoming a dominant brand on the market especially for health conscious moms around my age. I first discovered Kiss My Face products when my son was a baby, and had tried a few products in the past. When looking at Kiss My Face products in stores, I know that I am dealing with a company that puts emphasis on creating products that are safe, free from unnecessary additives and colors and never ever tests their products on animals (which means no animal ingredients either of course)
The Kiss My Face website is full of information about the move to natural products and why they are healthier than chemical-laden competitors. A great point they make on the site is that while eating natural and organic products is excellent for your body, using natural and organic products ON your body is just as or even more important. The reason being that your body is made to filter out impurities but your skin actually absorbs 60% of what is put on it right into the bloodstream. Kind of makes you second-guess that lotion you use with all the weird names in the ingredients, eh?
We also really liked the Kiss My Face Kids Shampoo & Conditioner, again in the awesome orange u smart scent. The citrus scent of the soap along with this Shampoo & Conditioner makes for a great smelling room after a bath! I used the Shampoo & Conditioner on both kids and it washed out easily and didn’t cause me unnecessary tangles in my daughter’s hair.
Other products we tried and liked from the Kids line include the Toothpaste with Fluoride (a nice change from the usual brand), and the Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash in orange u smart scent (this was great for my son, but I preferred the Shampoo & Conditioner combo for my daughter’s tangle-prone hair).
I tried two products from the Kiss My Face Potent & Pure Facial Care line – the Clean for a Day creamy face cleanser and the Under Age ultra hydrating moisturizer. Now, when doing product reviews for body products, there’s always a bit of hesitation because you never know how a product is going to react with your skin. Testing a facial care product can be risky!
Kiss My Face didn’t let me down and has produced two great products within this line that I tried. The Clean for a Day cleanser is light and non-irritating (because it’s made with natural and organic ingredients like sugar and corn!) and the great scent was a nice change from the cleanser I have been using (can’t beat a great mixture of vanilla and tangerine!)
The Under Age ultra hydrating moisturizer was a nice surprise. The moisturizer I normally use is great but I do find it heavy or greasy feeling sometimes, and I found that the Kiss My Face moisturizer felt better on my skin and didn’t leave it feeling greasy (again probably due in part to the natural ingredients like grape seed and jojoba oils).
One of the products I tried made a quick move into my purse and will stay there permanently. Olive My Body is a multi-purpose moisturizer that goes right to the target zone. There’s no need to apply this like a lotion, this product is more like a super shot to the exact area where you need moisture – heels, elbows, or a dry patch of skin that seems to always appear.
We are still trying all the different products we received from Kiss My Face – talk about a great mommy and kid mail day! Of course, you know I have a treat for you too don’t you?! Kiss My Face has a faaaaaaabulous giveaway for one lucky winner!
