I tried the Hemp & Omega 3 Conditioning Shampoo and Deep Penetrating Conditioner. The Shampoo includes calendula, red clover and hemp oil among the ingredients. The hemp oil is actually one of the richest sources out there of fatty acids which is great for hair. One issue that I had with a salon based natural shampoo and conditioner in the past is that my hair felt greasy afterwards – in talking with my friends about this I wasn’t the only one who experienced that result. I was pleased that the Bonita Botanicals products didn’t leave my hair with that greasy feeling, and this is because of the Hemp Oil in the shampoo and Olive, Coconut, Castor and Meadowfoam Seed Oils in the conditioner according to the website. It’s evident that Bonita Botanicals is aware of the oil/greasy feeling of natural hair products because they work to formulate theirs to avoid this which is great to see.
Other items that I tried from Bonita Bontanicals are the Sweet Orange & Hemp Oil Cleanser and Moisture Balancing Citrus Toner. I loved the citrus scent of both products (Sweet Orange in one and Grapefruit Seed Extract in the other) and both were very gentle on my face.
One aspect of the website that I really appreciated was that you could read the full ingredient list of all products right on the site. There are no surprises with the products you purchase from Bonita Botanicals and you are able to research everything before you buy – love that!
