Moms of boys, who among us has not had a little guy who makes vroom-vroom noises by the age of 18 months? What about a toddler son who has an obsession with all things on a construction site? The mom and dad artists behind Two Blue Cars created the company after they started making shirts for their own boys based on their little-kid obsessions. The designs are simple, the t-shirts soft American Apparel quality, and the result is a great line of shirts for boys (and girls too!) After checking out the site, and admiring all the great construction-vehicles screened on the shirts, I could not resist picking one of the other fully-funked out designs. The cassette tape shirt! Just as predicted, when we received the shirt my son pointed to the cassette tape and asked, “What’s that?” Ahhhhhhhh! Seriously, it feels so weird telling my son about something I used to use as a kid, geez I had a cassette player in my car when I was a teenager (and it wasnt’ that long ago!) Has time really passed that fast? It was fun explaining to our son what a cassette tape was, and both my husband and I were weirded out when we realized we don’t even have a cassette player in the house anymore to show our son. Is this how our parents felt about 8-tracks?

The site states that the shirts shrink 8% in the wash. I don’t know how exactly they calculated that, but I’ll go with it! I noticed minimal shrinkage when I washed this shirt, and it’s still as soft as before.
