Moms (and Grandmoms!) this is a product that is long overdue, but I’m so happy that we have it now! I couldn’t imagine being a mama years ago and having only one…er…route to taking a baby’s temperature! Talk about a rude awakening! Thankfully, technology has progressed and now there are several ways to take a child’s temperature. Up until now, my method of choice has been an ear thermometer which my mom (in her 60’s) thought was pretty neat since of course she never had such a device when I was a kid. The problem with taking my kid’s temperature this way was that I always woke them up. Fussing around with their ear did it every time. I also read that the accuracy of ear thermometers is debatable and we all know that one degree makes a big difference when your little one is sick.
With just a gentle sweep over the forehead, the Temporal Scanner takes 1000 readings per second (!!) and then selects the most accurate one! I love that I can use this when my kids are sleeping OR when I’m dealing with a fussy baby (because trying to use an ear or other thermometer with a crying squirming baby is SO much fun isn’t it?)
I think this is one essential items for all mommies to have, and the price is really reasonable too (less than ear thermometers!) Take a look here for a list of retailers where you can purchase the scanner.
