Terrapin Market is one of those online companies that, if it were a store that I could walk into, I’d probably spend a solid hour in there just looking around and smelling everything! One of my favorite bath and body products stores does that to me every time I go in but it’s too far away for me to go more than once a year. In the meantime I shop online for great products. When will computer screens become scratch ‘n sniff?
You will not believe how big their selection of soap is! There’s 18 listed on each page and 7 pages full, you do the math (I haven’t had enough coffee yet)! The unique thing about the soaps is that instead of being a regular square of great smelling soaps like many soap-creators make, Terrapin Market has designs embedded right into each of their soaps. Each soap bar is approx 190g and approx 10cmx7cm and 2.5cm thick (4-1/4”x2-3/4” and one inch thick) in size. About twice as big as a typical bar of soap. They really are huge!
We were sent the Primal Elements Frog and Whale soaps for the kids to try. My son was excited to have a soap that was obviously just for him, and I appreciated the larger size of the soap which makes it easier for kids to hold onto in the shower or tub. The Frog soap was lightly scented with kiwi kisses, and did not irritate my son’s eczema prone skin. Made with vegetable glycerin, Primal Elements soap is also 100% cruelty free.
Have a sports fan in the house? I think you can find almost any theme that you’re looking for in these soaps. I found the perfect Football soap for my husband while browsing the site, and this one is even scented with sandalwood, musk, moss and patchouli.
Along with Terrapin Market’s unique soaps, they also have something that feeds one of my addictions: candles! The Colour Bowl candles from Terrapin Market look delicious enough to eat, and smell just as yummy too! We received a Primal Elements Tahitian Vanilla Double Wick Colour Bowl. I became a fan of Tahitian Vanilla after trying the scent in bath products from another company in January so I was happy to see that Terrapin Market carried this scent!
My son couldn’t keep his nose out of the bowl, and kept telling me how delicious it smelled! When burning it, I had to keep it nice and high because he was so attracted to the look of the bowl (definitely not like mommy’s other boring candles apparently). At $16 these two-wick bowls are a good deal with 45-50 hours of burn time (and a bowl to use later). If you would like to try out a smaller version of the Primal Elements candles, you can purchase a Demi Light Candle for just $6.00, with 25-30 hours of burn time (and they look just as yummy as the bigger versions).
Along with my goodies that I got to review, Terrapin Market sent me two gift sets to give away! Each gift set consists of a Primal Elements soap and a Primal Elements Demi Light Candle. To enter, just go to Terrapin Market and tell me which candle you like out of all the selections available.
Because I am mailing these out personally, I have to keep this giveaway open to Canadian addresses only (sorry!)
