Superfly Lullabies is an Etsy store that’s main focus is, as Julie the store-owner puts it, “Super Swank Blankies for Your Super Swank Babe”. Julie creates every single item in the store and has now expanded her designs to include bibs, burp cloths, clothing and nursing covers. Through my reviews of various handmade products, I’m continually impressed with the work that people put into their creations and Julie aka Superfly Lullabies is no exception.
Anyone can put two pieces of fabric together and declare it a burp cloth (that is probably the best I can do, I failed the semester of Home Ec where we learned to sew….no lie), but companies like Superfly Lullabies create items that are worthy of baby boutiques.
The benefit of Etsy is that shops like Superfly Lullabies bring their creations right to the consumer, saving you from the baby boutique prices. Julie’s bibs, for example, vary in price from $14-$20.
The same standards hold true for the bib. There are a lot of creative people who make bibs both on Etsy and on various other online sites and many of them are beautiful pieces of baby attire. Superfly Lullabies has an edge by making their bibs unique from others. The front side, each one featuring a funky (superfly, shall we say?) pattern, is 100% cotton and the backs of these bibs are all 100% polyester minky fabric. Basically, it looks and feels like a cozy blanket combined with a bib! Every time I see the bibs, I think of a baby at a ski resort looking completely at ease wearing his Superfly Lullabies bib.
Superfly Lullabies is offering 1 reader the opportunity to win a bib in the pattern of their choice! To enter, go to Superfly Lullabies on Etsy and take a look around. Comment here with what your favorite design of bib is.
