Small Potatoes is a cute little corner of the web, that happens to actually be in Winnipeg, Manitoba which is right next door to me on the Canadian Prairies. I feel a special kinship to businesses here in Canada, and especially those in the prairie provinces. It just so happens that Holly Clarke, the mom behind Small Potatoes, makes great products so that makes me like her even more!
Small Potatoes makes every item themselves and the fabrics are personally chosen by the company both by in-store and online shopping. On the web, there are any number of people marketing the same type of products as Small Potatoes. The difference between Small Potatoes and some other sellers out here, and something that should help make your purchasing decision easier, is that Small Potatoes has their products in a dozen baby boutiques here in Canada, one in the US, and two overseas (as of last count!) and they also have their products available on several online boutiques as well. This says a lot. If various baby boutiques have purchased Small Potatoes products to re-sell to their own customers, you know you are dealing with products that are made with the utmost care and professionalism.
Over the next few months, Small Potatoes is partnering with Feisty Frugal and Fabulous to feature some of their products and offer these same products to the readers as giveaways.
The first product that I wanted to share with you all is the Small Potatoes Diaper Clutches. I love Diaper Clutches! When I had my son almost 5 years ago now, either they had not been created yet or not mass marketed because I didn’t have a diaper clutch. It was always such a pain to carry a large bag with me everywhere, or to carry a diaper and wipes package into a restaurant if I didn’t want to bring the whole bag (very attractive looking I’m sure).
Diaper Clutches are perfect for times when you don’t need the whole kit and kaboodle, so to speak! I often will leave my diaper bag in the car when shopping or going to an appointment or restaurant, and just take my diaper clutch with me (pssst…they also hold feeding spoons and bibs perfectly too).
There’s a great selection of fabric on the site to choose from! We picked the Chocolate Sunburst design.
The first difference I noticed between this and my other diaper clutch is that the one from Small Potatoes is larger. At times I felt like I had to cram the diapers into my other clutch because it opened at the top so there wasn’t as much room.
With a side open, there’s plenty of room to insert the diapers and wipes package, and room on either side of the diapers once they are inside so you won’t be dealing with squished diapers.
These two pictures hopefully illustrate how much room there is. (I had to take it by a window for some extra sympathy points here, look at all that snow!
Small Potatoes would like to offer 1 reader the chance to have their own Diaper Clutch in the pattern of their choice!
