I was recently sent the Baby Human Play & Learn Baby Spoon to review (thanks to Baby Human and The Family Review Network!) It came at the perfect time. My 16 month old daughter is a bit of a princess (I have no idea how that happened, I mean really who could make her into such a princess…) and has been pretty happy to let us feed her for the most part. More and more, she’s becoming indepedent at meal times and her experiments with a spoon have been pretty messy. She gets the concept of scooping the food, but somewhere between her hand and her mouth, the plan goes off track!
Baby Human saw this happen with babies and created a product to help! Made with a curved handle, this enables the spoon to align with baby’s mouth perfectly. There are also mouth guards on the spoon to prevent gagging (I know we’ve all been there, watching babies gag themselves with a spoon, how very 80’s of them!)
Nevaeh wasn’t sure what to make of the spoon when we first tried it. It looks different and made her pause. Soon enough she was happily self-feeding with it.
What I really like about this spoon is that she can walk around the house with it and I don’t have to worry about her gagging herself on it or hurting herself with it because it’s actually almost like another toy (it’s BPA, phthalate & lead-free, flexible and durable).
The Play and Learn Spoon can be purchased at Amazon.com online!
