The Shandle – Review & Giveaway (closed)

If you are a frequent reader of my blog, you know I’m a germ-0-phobe as I call it. I don’t see this as a weakness and actually think of it as one of my better qualities (no, really!) When my kids get sick, I take it as a personal defeat. A germ got past me!!

This doesn’t mean I have a germ free house, once we’re in the outside world I do my best to keep germs far from my kids but in my own house I can easily get distracted and then, gasp, someone doesn’t wash his hands. It happens.

When I first heard about The Shandle, the toilet seat handle, I thought it was a pretty clever idea. A handle for kids to use to lift the toilet seat up and down without having to touch a (gag) toilet seat. The Shandle goes further than that; the Shandle itself has tiny silver particles in the plastic that make it antimicrobial (my new favorite word, definition: capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of disease-causing microorganisms). So, The Shandle stays clean, even when little hands may not.

We have the Bunny design. One side says “Bunny puts the seat down” and the other side says “Bunny washes her hands”. Nice to have a little reminder right there, instead of mom nagging about it (or the wife, as the case may be).

The Shandle also has designs for adults, which I’ll leave for you all to check out on the site if you like.

Right now they are offering free shipping to anywhere in the 48 continental US.

The Shandle would like to give one reader the chance to choose their very own Shandle. To enter, check out their site and tell me which design you would choose.
