Kick Off to Christmas Giveaway 8 – DoGreeOnline (closed)

Pssst…I have a bit of a secret to share! Miss Nevaeh, who just turned a year, is sleeping through the night in her crib. The. Whole. Night.

Now, while this may be a common occurrence to a lot of mommy readers, it is not common in our house! My 4 year old son still wakes up from time to time from bad dreams and is not a sound sleeper. Up until a few weeks ago, Nevaeh was waking up once per night at least, just needing a snuggle or sometimes a bottle to get back to sleep. She, like her brother, is a pretty light sleeper and I’d spend nap time and my nights trying my best not to make noise in the kitchen, and tip toeing past her room. The problem, I knew, was that she was not getting into that deep stage of sleep but rather was on wake-up mode most of the night, in the lightest stage of sleep and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

So, what changed? Well, a few weeks ago I received the Sleep Sheep On The Go from DoGreeOnline. I had read some great testimonials about this product and wondered if this could be the answer to my boo’s sleep problems. The Sleep Sheep on the Go is the smaller version of the original Sleep Sheep. The bonus to having the smaller version is that you can easily attach it to a stroller or baby carrier, car seat, etc.

The Sleep Sheep on the Go has 4 soothing nature sounds, a volume control, and a timer that can be set at either 23 or 45 minutes (I choose 45 just to be on the safe side!) My favorite is the ocean waves sound as it’s most like the ‘white noise’ sound recommended by sleep experts.

I am absolutely thrilled with the results from the Sleep Sheep on the Go and am going to make this my baby-shower present in the future. Why buy another cute pj set or blanket when you can buy some sleep for new parents?

The second item I was able to review from DoGreeOnline was the creative and adorable Twilight Sea Turtle. This toy is more than a toy, it’s a cozy nightlight and an educational product as well! The Twilight Sea Turtle comes with a great educational Twilight Storybook inside, with information about each of the 5 endangered wildlife creatures featured on his shell. As well, the storybook has a Star Guide, detailing the 3 different constellations that Twilight Sea Turtle’s shell shines up onto the ceiling of your room. At the end of the little book is a Certificate of Adoption that can be filled in with the child’s name and date of adoption. How great is that?

I thought the Twilight Sea Turtle would be a good companion for Elijah, since at 4 years old he now has issues with shadows (making a nightlight a bit of problem) but is very inquisitive and has a mind that goes a mile a minute. Reading about a different endangered animal each night before bed, it allowed us to have a discussion beyond our normal household chatter about issues we had never touched on before. Why are animals endangered? How can we help them? Then, turning on Twilight Sea Turtles illuminating shell is met with “ohhhhs” and “ahhhhs” and a little bit of giggle time as we try to figure out where the constellations are on his ceiling. Between my husband and myself we have confidently found 1/3. This is a good thing! This is a toy that has a continual appeal, we are working to identify all 3 constellations on the ceiling. Elijah tries but guess what…he falls asleep looking at the starry sky in his room (it has a 45 minute sleep timer, yay!) I have to mention that Elijah’s nursery school class was impressed with Twilight Sea Turtle as well, it was Elijah’s Show and Tell item last week!

I am so impressed with both products (both made by Cloud B) and am grateful to DoGreeOnline for sharing them with our family. I have a baby girl who sleeps through the night (!!!) and a 4 year old who sleeps under the stars!

Guess what, 1 Feisty Frugal and Fabulous reader will have the opportunity to try one of these items, or another Cloud B item from the DoGreeOnline store!

The winner can choose from any Cloud B item listed here!!
