I have been a member of this site for two years now and love it. It’s kind of like winning the lottery if you are picked for a campaign. This is how it works:
First you sign up as a BzzAgent. A BzzAgent is someone who tries a product and then recommends it to their friends by word of mouth (buzz). You then have to report back to BzzAgent via online surveys detailing how many people you told, how, and what their reaction was. It’s that simple.
In order to be chosen for a campaign, the company needs to learn more about you. There are surveys on the site to take. Taking the surveys earns you points and the more work you do for them the higher level you become. The people in the higher levels typically get first dibs on new campaigns but sometimes, depending on the demographic and product, it goes out to people who are new members as well.
When you are chosen for a campaign, you get an invite in the mail. You then go to the site, fill in a survey, and if your answers match what they are looking for, they will let you know that you have been accepted into the campaign. In a week or two after that you will receive your free item in the mail to try, and keep. Most times I receive the actual item, other times a full-price coupon is sent to try the item.
Campaigns I have done in the past include Sonicare electric toothbrushes ($150+ value, yay!), and Hellman’s Mayo (will never go back to another brand now, mmm!). I’m currently waiting to receive a free cannister of Nabob coffee to try and see if I like it.
Again, as with all good things, it may take awhile to be accepted into a campaign but it can’t hurt to sign up and let the company learn more about you and hope to get picked soon!
