This year, our family is once again participating in the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats for Toys program. Anyone can participate, in fact, I’m asking you to participate, because your kitchen creation, means $20 for The Salvation Army! I love this program, because it allows my family to get creative in the kitchen during the busy fall season, and then helps teach the kids about paying it forward because of the program.
My kids are very astute in social media just based on my own usage. Having to wait to sit down to eat because mom has to take a photo of the dish is common in their world, so it was a fairly simple arch to explain the purpose behind the #TreatsForToys program. They were more than happy to help out making some creations, based on the suggestions on the Rice Krispies site, and were thrilled to help me stage the photos as well! Family bonding with a social media twist – that’s how my family does it best!
