Sit in at any mommy-group and inevitably you’re discussing baby products and which products are a mom’s fave. Discussion can also often turn to what we moms in Canada don’t have – baby walkers. Baby walkers have been banned in Canada since April 7, 2004 (right before my first child was born, argh!) US parents can still use walkers but the reason walkers were banned in Canada still exist in the US – so every year babies are injured. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission gives a startling number of 21,000 injuries to babies every year in Baby Walkers (wow!)
When I was offered the opportunity to check out a Juppy Baby Walker, I jumped at it even though Everleigh at the time was still a newborn. I saved it to use when she was ready and both my husband and I saved our backs using it to help her walk and take those first, guided, steps when she was between 8-9 months old. She actually started walking on her own at 9 months so we are already done using our Juppy! Many parents can get a much longer use out of a product like this than we did though!
I liked that it comes with its own carrying case, and is small enough to fit in the diaper bag or my purse! You can even personalize it and get baby’s name embroidered on it – now that’s a great gift idea!
Shipping within the US is as little as $6.10 but shipping to Canada is $23.95 which is a lot. I’ll never understand why it’s so expensive for companies to ship to Canada sometimes, and this is my one and only negative point about this product.
