Share your Goldfish Moments Many a mom has been there. You’re in a situation where the kids are antsy, you’ve got something to do, and you’ve got to go through your mommy bag of tricks to figure out how everyone will get out of the situation unscathed!

Pepperidge Farm understands this, and they’re asking moms to share their own Goldfish Moments when Goldfish Crackers or their new-to-Canada Goldfish Grahams (in Honey or Chocolate!!) have saved you.

When I was asked to participate in this program and share my own Goldfish Moments with readers, it didn’t take long to think of several. We’ve had Goldfish Crackers in the house since Elijah was a toddler and they’re a staple in our pantry, and my purse or diaper bag, to this day.

My most recent Goldfish Moment was definitely on our December trip to Disneyland. Embarking on 3 flights (yes 3!) to get to Los Angeles with 3 kids (2 flying for the very first time) – I knew that my husband and I had our work cut out for us. I made sure to pack backpacks for the older two kids with activities to keep them busy as well as a snack bag for us all to help get through the day.

You know those situations where you prepare for things to go wrong…and they do? That was us.

We had a connection where I was planning on grabbing lunch for us all but after waiting in lines for Customs, etc., we ended up with 20 minutes to spare before our next flight! The kids weren’t interested in the pizza I quickly grabbed, and there was no time to get anything else. My husband shrugged and mentioned that at least we had our snack bag. That would work – we could eat once we got to our hotel in LA.

And then.

Our bus shuttle to the hotel ended up taking an hour and a half, when a regular trip could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. There was an accident on the freeway and we had to detour. We started in daylight and by the time we got to the hotel it was dark! Thank goodness I had packed a snack bag full of carrots, pretzels and of course Goldfish! The kids snacked on it (my husband and I taking a few guilty bites not wanting to use up all their snack food!) and we made it to the hotel (relatively) meltdown free. What a long day (did I mention it started at 4am?!)

Thankfully, that was the only bump in the road, so to speak, on our amazing family vacation! We had a magical time at Disneyland and guess what – when we visited Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland one of their kid’s menu items, the Kid’s Power Pack, contained Goldfish Crackers, so the kids had a single serving bag to carry around as well!

Back home in frosty Canada, Goldfish Crackers and new Goldfish Grahams in Honey and Chocolate flavors continue to be a staple in our pantry. I like them because they are baked and contain NO artificial colors or flavors. They’re also low in saturated fat and contain no trans fat. Though the kids were the main fan of the original Goldfish Crackers, I am really loving the new Goldfish Grahams! Who said Goldfish were just for kids? The Chocolate Goldfish Grahams are awesome with a cup of coffee, moms!
