The Spoiled Mama

One of the fun things about being pregnant, is the discovery of all the new beauty products designed just for you.  Sure, you could keep using some of your old favorites (and many people, including myself, do) but I’ll warn you now – once you start reading about product ingredients and their impact on your body – some of your old favorites may take a permanent spot in your beauty closet for the next 9 months.

Spoiled Mama Products are free from Parabens, Phthalates, Synthetic Fragrances, Harsh Surfactants, Artificial Colors, and Petroleum Derivatives.

See?  I bet you didn’t know you were supposed to be avoiding these things when pregnant.  Realistically, I know that’s not possible for many of us, myself included.  But, if I receive products like these as a gift or learn about them online and purchase them as a treat – I’m more than happy to use them instead.

I was sent some products from The Spoiled Mama to check out – both for pregnancy and post-partum (shudder).  It was nice to receive something in my 7th month of pregnancy – you know that point when you’re feeling awful and definitely don’t feel that pregnant glow anymore.  It was nice to have something new to pamper myself with.

stretch mark oilExtreme Mama Creme is an awesome belly cream – the first time I used it I put way too much on my hands!  It spreads so quickly and easily that a small amount is needed to cover a big ‘ol baby belly.

The cream is naturally scented with The Spoiled Mama’s #1 requested signature scent of a Chamomile-Neroli blend which I liked (because so many natural products smell like lavender it seems).

I use The Spoiled Mama Bump Gloss Stretch Mark Oil at night, after a bath, as a moisturizer for my belly before bed.  Because it’s an oil, it’s not something I can put on in the morning when quickly getting ready for the day because it takes awhile to absorb but at night, watching tv in bed after a soak, it’s the perfect time.

Postpartum products that I was sent include The Spoiled Mama Sitzing Pretty (love the name) Postpartum Sitz Bath and Mojito Mama Sugar Scrub (a company favorite).  This one can actually be used while pregnant too but I’m saving it for afterwards.

We know what The Spoiled Mama doesn’t have in their products, but what do they use?  Check out this link for a full list of ingredients in Spoiled Mama products.  Readers can also find a list of stores that carry The Spoiled Mama products here and of course you can order directly from The Spoiled Mama online as well.
